This week we follow the aftermath of the drunken outburst in Madame Fei’s and see what the oft-mentioned district of Kasaga’s Embrace has to offer.
I got the lovely chance to sit down with Exalted 3rd edition developers John Mørke and Holden Shearer about their work with the game, and the setting. Look forward to their work coming down the line and support John on Patreon!

This week a confrontation breaks out in the streets of the Smiling Eyes District. Who will come out on top? How will they manage a combat in these silly disguises?
The crew ventures into pirate territory. Godwin finally uses his recorder for good. Opium is smoked. Hot dog vomit and Shrek Jokes are made. Point of erratum: Quinn said “seamare” a lot this week. He meant “tidemare”.
This week we have planning, sneaking, and a lot of talk with and about port patrolsmen.
Complications abound this week as Ariston lets Godwin, Lucy, and Ambrose crash at his place, a mysterious visitor arrives at the office, and a visit to a new teahouse goes remarkably south.
Unfortunate news this week: next week we will not be releasing an episode due to some scheduling issues, but we are looking to establish a backlog to avoid this in the future! This week Ariston attempts to heal Hallowed Benefactee’s daughter, Godwin attempts to master the rules of rock, paper, Djao Wei, and we get a look at some of the undersides of living in Djao Wei, as the situation the city is in appears to keep worsening.
Our first full arc begins this week! Meet the employees of Quinn’s(bless that sweet wolf’s soul), and the most unlikely of the sun’s chosen heroes : Ajax Ford: Investigation specialist and box turtle enthusiast; Ariston: Occultist and animal lover; and Godwin Corelli II: Musician and sad sack. The city of Djao Wei continues to blister in the waves of drought. As Godwin’s next door neighbor and secret crush comes calling for help, we begin to learn a lot about gambling dens and international politics.
Changes this week as we shift these episodes to the Prelude category. All future episodes will follow standard numerical order and should involve no more jockeying of players. Outside the pyramid, the Swallows prepare to enter, and bring some unexpected guests to find statues, ghosts, and any number of historical oddities.
The Swallows approach the group of strangers at the base of the orichalcum pyramid and quickly determine their most efficient route past them. Their tactics may surprise you, but they probably will not.
In our fourth episode we are joined by Steve Mayhew! Two months have passed since Rizzo’s disappearance and drought seems to be setting in on Djao Wei. A new lead on a job means they’ll need protection from the gruff and medium-muscled Flowing Delta.
In the show’s third episode will Godwin be able to find his recorder? Call time draws near as the Swallows must find what and who is lost while a mysterious contact emerges from the shadows…
Here is part two of our release day extravaganza! Audio quality is improving and tensions are rising as Rizzo, Ajax and Godwin are face to face with a gang of thugs! Can they remember why they’ve come for Tremulous Numen? Find out in this episode of Swallows of the South!!!
This is part one of our release Extravaganza! If you have any reservations about podcast audio quality, please refer to episode two, as the audio is appreciable better from that episode forward. I’m so jazzed to have this out to everyone and to hear your feedback!
Meet the Swallows of the South, the most down and out heroes in the City of Djao Wei. When an old client’s husband goes missing, the Swallows begin to unravel a mystery bigger than any they had faced before.
Quinn gives a brief rundown of the concepts around Exalted so you have a bit of an idea of what to expect from the world coming into the podcast.
